MEXT to Host 'Education × Generative AI Symposium: Where is Learning Headed in the Age of Generative AI?' on July 30

This symposium aims to share international trends, advanced use cases, and research findings regarding the educational application of generative AI, while deepening understanding among school stakeholders and parents about the potential and risks of generative AI.

Furthermore, in light of advancements in AI technology, the event will serve as a platform to discuss the cultivation of essential competencies—such as information utilization skills—for children and students in future society, as well as the future of education that leverages teachers and society as a whole. It will also foster shared understanding on the appropriate use of generative AI.
