OZU Inc., a Japanese creative company aiming to build production systems for the AI era, has partnered with the Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (PENS) in Indonesia to establish a creative lab on campus.

PENS is a top-tier technical university in Indonesia, often compared to Stanford University for its innovation ranking. With this launch, OZU secures a base for international research and talent development in the AI and creative sectors, accelerating its global business expansion starting from Southeast Asia.

Indonesia is a critical market with the largest population in ASEAN and rapid digital economy growth. OZU has prioritized collaboration with global-level technical talent as a key management objective. PENS, established in 1988 with JICA support, has a strong affinity with Japanese companies, making it an ideal partner for OZU's focus on multimedia, gaming, and software engineering.

The lab will function as a remote office, co-working space, and research hub. Key activities include hosting student internships, exploring AI-based VFX production to reduce costs and time, and building a cross-border remote production environment. OZU is also collaborating with Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, further strengthening its Southeast Asian AI talent network.
