About nōn tea ceremony
A reservation-only specialty store for Japanese afternoon tea located near Yasaka Pagoda in Kyoto's Higashiyama district. It offers a unique time experience that interprets Japanese tea culture from an artist's perspective and combines it with the style of afternoon tea born in England. We aim to provide a new ceremonial experience that allows visitors to escape from their daily lives and quietly immerse themselves in the depths of their consciousness, without being bound by form, yet deeply.
nōn is derived from the Old English word for noon, meaning "the ninth hour" and a time for prayer. The brand also embodies the meaning of a place that opens consciousness while questioning the known form of the tea ceremony.

Why Higashiyama? Regarding the Origins of Tea Culture
In 1333, Ashikaga Takauji attacked Kyoto from Kameoka (Tanba Province, Sasano Village), changing the era. The Ashikaga family established a mountain villa in Higashiyama, and the culture of tea, which invites deep contemplation, was born in this area. Qe to Hare, which began in Kameoka, opens a new space in Higashiyama.
