Raku-P Co., Ltd. (CEO: Noriyuki Senkawa) announced that it will launch the 'Raku-P Pole V4' on June 1, 2026. This new model for small-scale parking lots allows a single management pole to handle two parking spaces, whereas previously one pole was required per space. This innovation halves the number of devices required in small parking lots, leading to significant reductions in both implementation and running costs. With this system, one Raku-P pole can manage two spaces, meaning a lot that previously required eight poles for eight spaces can now operate with only four. In recent years, the parking industry has been advancing labor-saving and digital transformation (DX) driven by the growing demand for cashless and unmanned operations. However, many existing parking systems are designed for large-scale or gate-type facilities, where high equipment and installation costs have acted as barriers, making it difficult for small parking lots with 1 to 10 spaces to adopt them. Raku-P eliminates the need for locking plates and centralized payment machines, requiring only simple electrical wiring. Furthermore, complete cashless operation removes the need for cash collection, enabling low-cost unmanned management even for small parking lots. By enabling one pole to manage two spaces, the number of devices is halved, reducing equipment, installation, communication, and maintenance costs. This allows for low-cost parking operations on land that was previously difficult to utilize profitably, such as narrow plots, vacant lots, spaces next to stores, or converting monthly parking to hourly parking.
