How to Draw the 'North Star' in an Era of Shifting Worldviews: Practicing Design Futuring

[Lightning Talk Overview]

As society transitions toward circularity and human-AI collaboration, values and worldviews are rapidly shifting. In this context, a unifying 'North Star' vision that guides diverse stakeholders has become more essential than ever for businesses. This talk will introduce 'Design Futuring,' a new vision-setting methodology crucial for future service designers. Rather than merely predicting the future, this approach involves visualizing abstract worldviews through prototypes to engage stakeholders and collaboratively shape desired visions through discussion. We will share the methodology with concrete examples.
