TOWING Co., Ltd. has established local subsidiaries in North America and Thailand to accelerate the global rollout of its high-performance biochar, 'SORATAN'. The North American office was established to conduct market research and develop partnerships with an eye toward local production. The Thai office has set up a manufacturing base in Saraburi Province to advance soil improvement and carbon storage projects in collaboration with major food companies. This establishes a supply infrastructure across Japan, the U.S., and Thailand, accelerating global carbon sequestration and soil regeneration to build sustainable food production systems. The U.S. is a global agricultural powerhouse and a leader in environmental markets like carbon credits. TOWING has focused on understanding the North American biochar market and building a local network. After starting research in late 2023, the company participated in the 2024 North American Biochar Conference and opened a research lab in California in March 2024. Following field trials at KG Agri Products, Inc. in Ohio and demonstrations with major U.S. food processors in 2025, the company is now ready for full-scale operations. Through the new subsidiary, TOWING will analyze local needs to build an optimal supply model. In Thailand, a hub for the global agricultural supply chain, open-field burning causing PM2.5 is a critical issue. The government is promoting the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) policy, making biochar a key solution for both environmental issues and carbon credit creation (T-VER). TOWING has conducted field trials at Kasetsart University since 2025 and verified the effectiveness of 'SORATAN' on export crops in collaboration with various food companies. Supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s subsidy, and a partnership with SCG Cement Co., Ltd. signed in October 2025, TOWING has established a complete supply chain in Thailand from raw material procurement to manufacturing. The company will now focus on commercial production and carbon value creation to address Thailand's agricultural and environmental challenges.
