Dr. Shinji Nagao of THE ROPPONGI CLINIC Presents at 114th JSAS Annual Meeting

His presentation, titled 'Approaches to Diverse Anatomical Characteristics in Rhinoplasty: Techniques for Deviated Septum, Thick Skin, and Revision Cases,' outlined a 3-step surgical framework: Step 1 reshaping the lower lateral cartilage (LLC), Step 2 cartilage or tissue grafting, and Step 3 soft tissue and skin adjustment. For cases with severe septal deviation requiring simultaneous septoplasty and septal extension, Dr. Nagao emphasized securing adequate structural support while minimizing graft load. He introduced the PSA TRIM + SCORING + SUTURING TECHNIQUE for severe deviation cases, including ANS attachment displacement and pure septal size mismatch.
