VOREAS Hokkaido Signs Agreement for 'KAMUI Healthcare Project,' a Preventive Medicine Model Focused on 'Gut Health' in the Kamikawa-Taisetsu Area

VOREAS, Inc. (Headquarters: Asahikawa, Hokkaido), the operator of VOREAS Hokkaido in the SV League, the world's top-tier volleyball league, announced it has signed an agreement with Moriyama Hospital, Asahikawa Medical University, and Biosislab Co., Ltd. for the 'KAMUI Healthcare Project,' a resident-participatory preventive medicine model in the Kamikawa-Taisetsu area. A ceremony for this project was held on Saturday, April 4th.

Background and Healthcare Cost Reduction Aimed by 'VGD' Since the 'VOREAS GREEN DEAL (VGD) Declaration' announced in September 2021, VOREAS Hokkaido has been promoting activities centered on economy, environment, and the 'physical health' of its supporters.

Currently, the Kamikawa-Taisetsu area faces serious social issues due to aging and the progression of lifestyle-related diseases, leading to increasing medical costs. VGD has set 'reduction of medical costs,' a social burden, as a key goal through the promotion of safe food and healthy lifestyles. This project embodies the philosophy of VGD, aiming to establish a preventive medicine model where residents can independently maintain their health by centering on 'improving intestinal environment (gut health).'

Roles and Implementation Structure The company will utilize its influence as a professional sports team and the VGD philosophy to build a mechanism where residents can voluntarily and enjoyably participate in health promotion, leading to improved healthy life expectancy and optimized medical costs for the entire region.

- VOREAS Hokkaido: Promotion of resident participation utilizing sports and regional networks based on the VGD perspective. - Moriyama Hospital (Social Medical Corporation Genseikai): Clinical support and effect verification as a community-based medical institution. - Asahikawa Medical University, Department of Preventive Medicine: Design and operation of lectures and awareness initiatives based on scientific evidence. - Biosislab Co., Ltd.: Development and provision of gut health products and scientific evaluation (Fujita Health University authorized venture).

Utilizing gut health products that guarantee the 'safety and security' standards of VGD, the following pilot implementation will begin.
