YUIDEA Inc. (pronounced: Yuidea, located at 1-1-1 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kazuhiro Hosoya, hereinafter referred to as 'the Company') will launch a new 'Sustainability Fundamentals Training' program for corporate managers and leaders starting August 2026. This interactive, dialogue-based program enables participants to acquire the knowledge and perspectives needed to understand sustainability in a business context and implement it in practice—all within three hours.
The training will be held once a month, with the first session scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 16:00 to 19:00.
While the obligation for listed companies to disclose sustainability information (under SSBJ standards) is progressing, there are still relatively few business professionals who truly understand sustainability as a personal responsibility and act accordingly. This training aims to cultivate leaders who can systematically learn the fundamentals of sustainability from both 'offensive' and 'defensive' perspectives, articulate sustainability in their own words, promote understanding among subordinates, and support their company's initiatives.

Program Overview
The training is scheduled for monthly sessions and will be delivered as an interactive, small-group program for up to 25 participants. Customized corporate training programs (half-day, one-day, or two-day formats) are also available.
Background
While sustainability initiatives are accelerating, especially among listed companies, many department leaders still do not fully grasp their significance. Managers often feel that sustainability is 'too specialized' or 'unclear in its business relevance,' creating a distance. This leads to challenges such as being unable to explain sustainability convincingly to subordinates or customers, or viewing it merely as a cost—barriers to internal adoption.
This training begins by clarifying the rationale for sustainability action and aims to develop leaders who can articulate sustainability in their own words through dialogue and workshops, thereby promoting understanding among team members and advancing their company's efforts.
Drawing on its experience since 2000 supporting over 1,000 companies in the CSR field, YUIDEA translates expert knowledge into language that resonates in real-world business settings.
Key Features of the Training
- Interactive, dialogue-centered format
Rather than one-way knowledge transfer, the program is designed to encourage participants to reflect on sustainability as a personal responsibility through group discussions and workshops. Emphasis is placed on the process of participants discovering their own insights.
- Learning from both 'offensive' and 'defensive' perspectives
Participants will explore both 'defensive' risk management (e.g., regulatory compliance, investor demands) and 'offensive' opportunities (e.g., brand enhancement, new business development). The content is practical and designed to support strategic decision-making.
- Content translated into business language
From YUIDEA’s unique perspective of 'disclosure × sustainable branding,' technical terms are translated into business language that managers can understand. Explanations are enriched with diverse domestic case studies.
Expected Outcomes After Participation
- Ability to explain sustainability in one’s own words to subordinates and customers
- Acquisition of a managerial perspective with dual persuasive power: 'defensive' (risk management) and 'offensive' (business opportunities)
- Mastery of frameworks that can be used to expand internal dialogue on sustainability
- Empowerment to view sustainability as a personal responsibility and take action
Customized Corporate Training
The content of this training can also be adapted into half-day, one-day, or two-day customized programs based on a company’s sustainability advancement level. HR, PR, and strategic planning departments, or any corporate stakeholders aiming to deepen employee understanding of sustainability, are welcome to contact us.
