Ezaki Glico Co., Ltd. is extending, in collaboration with the Japan Multiple Births Association (headquartered in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture), the purchase assistance program for the infant liquid milk 'Icreo Baby Milk' for families with twins or triplets. Originally launched in July 2020, the program will now continue until Wednesday, July 14, 2027. This marks the seventh year of the initiative, and Glico remains committed to supporting the physical and mental health of both parents and children in multiple-birth families through its products and services.
Raising twins or triplets involves significant challenges, including frequent feeding, sleep deprivation, and overwhelming physical and emotional strain. Since 2020, Glico has partnered with the Japan Multiple Births Association—a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families with multiples—to provide purchase subsidies for 'Icreo Baby Milk' and online consultation services. The program has received strong positive feedback from multiple-birth families, and the number of registered support organizations has grown from 10 to 33. In response to continued demand from families and partner organizations, the support period has been extended by one year, until July 14, 2027.

About the Japan Multiple Births Association
The Japan Multiple Births Association (JpMBA) is a nonprofit organization established on February 22, 2010, by parents of multiples, medical professionals, and researchers. It aims to create a society where multiple births can be safely welcomed and raised anywhere in Japan by collaborating with healthcare, medical, welfare, childcare, education, parenting support, and government sectors.
[Comment from the Japan Multiple Births Association Board Member] Kei Shimura, Representative Director
Approximately 70% of multiples in Japan are born weighing less than 2,500g. Raising multiple low-birth-weight infants simultaneously is extremely challenging and places a heavy burden on caregivers.
Nutrition is directly linked to infants’ survival, growth, and development, making it a major concern for parents.
As you know, breastfeeding requires preparation and environmental adjustments. The time needed to prepare formula, crying babies waiting during that time, and other considerations place immense pressure on caregivers. Liquid milk can help ease these challenges and bring much-needed flexibility to feeding routines. We are deeply grateful that Glico continues to support multiple-birth families this year.
We hope such support for multiple-birth families expands further across society in various forms, beyond just liquid milk.
[Testimonials from Families Receiving Liquid Milk Purchase Support (Excerpts, Original Text)]
● This is my first time parenting. I’m using a combination of breastfeeding and formula, and I’m shocked by how quickly my twins go through milk. At night, not having to wait for formula preparation is a big relief. Being able to use liquid milk and purchase it affordably is incredibly helpful! Support for multiple-birth families seems limited in my area, so this program is a lifeline. Knowing it’s provided by Glico gives me peace of mind and trust.
● I’m a family of five with a 4-year-old daughter and twins, and my husband is often busy with work, leaving me as the primary caregiver. I often have to make my older daughter wait or can’t talk to her properly. With liquid milk, I save time on preparation, giving me a little more time to spend with her. When going out, I carry fewer items and don’t have to worry about how much hot water to bring. This extra time allows me to interact more and hold her hand—so grateful.
● I’m fully formula-feeding. Powdered milk requires measuring, mixing with hot water, and cooling, which is tough when both babies cry at once. Liquid milk saves time and is convenient for simultaneous crying or outings.
● I’m severely sleep-deprived from nighttime care. Preparing milk for two babies at night was exhausting. Using liquid milk has made it easier, and I’m truly happy about it.
