Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture, will host the 'Fukka-chan Birthday Party 2026' on June 27, 2026, to celebrate the birthday of its city image mascot, 'Fukka-chan.'

Marking its 16th anniversary, the event follows last year's edition, which attracted approximately 4,000 fans. This year, 13 mascot characters from within and outside the prefecture, including 'Kobaton' and 'Sanomaru,' will participate. Programs include stage events highlighting 'Fukaya Broccoli,' which was designated as a nationally specified vegetable in April 2026, as well as the distribution of the popular 'Gari-Gari Kun' ice treat from Akagi Nyugyo.
