The Shibuya Music Festival Executive Committee (Executive Committee Chair: Kenji Onishi, Chairman of the Shibuya Dogenzaka Shopping Street Promotion Association) has decided to hold "The 21st Shibuya Music Festival 2026" over two days, October 17 (Sat) and October 18 (Sun), 2026. The Shibuya Music Festival, which began as a local event with the aim of promoting visitor circulation and revitalizing local shopping streets, sparked by the large-scale redevelopment of the Shibuya Station area, is centered around "music," one of Shibuya's core cultures.

To date, we have held public live performances utilizing commercial facilities and event spaces, as well as diverse programs in large halls including LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, with various areas cooperating and originating from Dogenzaka, all unfolding on the streets of Shibuya.

The concept for this year's Shibuya Music Festival is: "The City Becomes a Stage. Cultures Intersect."

This is a new type of music festival that fuses music, dance, fashion, anime, and street culture, with the entire city of Shibuya serving as its stage.

This year, we will hold an event where multiple genres such as music, dance, fashion, anime, and street culture will unfold simultaneously and intersect in various areas of Shibuya, utilizing all spots in the city, including public spaces like roads and parks, shopping streets, and commercial facilities.

Shibuya is a city where various cultures such as music, dance, fashion, and anime have been born one after another, leading trends. The 21st Shibuya Music Festival aims to further revitalize the city and create next-generation culture by fully leveraging the creativity and centripetal force that Shibuya has cultivated to date.

The Shibuya Music Festival marks its 21st year this year.

The 20th Shibuya Music Festival last year attracted over 35,000 visitors and featured more than 20 content pieces, concluding as Shibuya's representative city festival where people of diverse genres, generations, and cultural backgrounds interact and merge.

This year, we aim to further enrich our content and explore the potential of the "Shibuya Music Festival" brand beyond the scope of traditional local events, by incorporating anime, technology, international collaboration, and intergenerational exchange.
