Call for Proposals: Production of a Special Program to Promote Relocation to Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture

Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture, is addressing various challenges arising from population decline by aiming to increase the number of young families. The city is promoting both inbound migration and the retention of current residents, with the goal of achieving a net population increase of 250.

Under this project, a special television program will be produced and broadcast to promote the city’s regional charm—including unique tourist attractions and the richness of daily life—targeting individuals aged 20 to 30 who are raising children. The program aims to raise awareness of Setouchi City and contribute to regional revitalization by achieving a net population increase of 250.

We welcome proposals from interested businesses that can contribute to building a vibrant, people-centered community in Setouchi City.

3,300,000 JPY (including consumption and local consumption taxes)

Program Content

The program will feature talents who resonate with the target audience—parents in their 20s and 30s—and present authentic daily life and local attractions from the perspective of potential relocators. It will highlight the warmth of local residents, living infrastructure, child-rearing support, and natural environment, showcasing Setouchi City as a rich and fulfilling place to live.

Additionally, interviews with local residents and current migrants will convey real-life experiences and positive changes after relocation, creating a compelling narrative that inspires viewers to consider moving to Setouchi City.
