Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture, has signed a 'Comprehensive Partnership Agreement' with Uber Eats Japan LLC, aiming to promote regional revitalization.

This is the first time Uber Eats Japan LLC has entered into a comprehensive partnership with a local government in Western Japan.

The city will continue to strengthen public-private collaboration to build a sustainable and attractive Setouchi City.

Background of the Partnership

Through this agreement, the city aims to establish a delivery infrastructure for local restaurants and retail stores, improving operational efficiency and increasing sales. This initiative also seeks to attract new restaurants to the area and accelerate new store openings, creating a positive cycle.

As these efforts take root, residents will enjoy a wider variety of dining options and be able to easily access diverse restaurant cuisines from the comfort of their homes.

Additionally, delivery operations will create flexible, side-job employment opportunities, allowing people to work at times that suit their lifestyles. This is expected to contribute to increased household income for residents.
