Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. Main Building Show Window Transforms into an 'Aquarium'.

Tansan Design Studio (Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture / Representative: Tomoaki Mizuno), known for its colorful textile expressions, will exhibit the installation 'AQUARIUM' at the front window of the 1st floor of the Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. Main Building from June 14 (Sun) to July 13 (Mon), 2026. This work was created as part of Takashimaya's 'Feel! Hear! Summer Onomatopoeia' promotion. Through vibrant textiles and felt works, the show window is transformed into an aquarium-like space, offering visitors a cool summer landscape. All life is born from the sea, growing and changing while receiving its blessings, connecting to the next generation. In the quiet blue world, sea creatures live with the great currents. Within their bodies, various memories of what they have eaten, taken in, and encountered continue to circulate. We expressed this grand story of the cycle of life, inherited and nurtured over a long time, through the figures of sea creatures swimming gracefully in cool blue light.
