The Kumamoto Volters, a professional basketball team in the B.League Division 2 (Kumamoto Basketball Co., Ltd. / Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City), have agreed to renew the contract of Shota Yamamoto for the 2026-27 season. The agreement is a multi-year contract extending through the 2027-28 season.

I am Shota Yamamoto, and I will be playing for Kumamoto again in the 2026-27 season! Thank you always for your immense support.

I am very disappointed that I had to leave the team during the 2025-26 season due to my first injury and could not show you my play until the end.

However, I was able to learn many things by watching games from outside the court, and I hope to utilize that in my play for the new season.

I will prepare to show you an even more improved version of myself and play with a smile, so I look forward to seeing you at the venue!
