Chikurin no School's Annual "Muddy Field Sports Day"

Chikurin no School, an alternative school in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, operated by NPO Kono Sato, will hold its popular annual event, the "Muddy Field Sports Day," on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

In addition to classic competitions such as bread-eating races and tug-of-war, this year's event will feature new events that fuse children's ideas with the serious efforts of adults. It's a unique experiential event at Chikurin no School where children and adults alike can fully enjoy themselves, getting covered in mud.

The "Tamaron" Parent-Child Salon for Preschoolers will also be held concurrently on the same day. Participation is free (lunch is ¥1,000 per person if desired), and families and the general public from the community are widely welcome. We are also looking for volunteers for photo and video shooting. (Recruitment closed on June 8th due to reaching capacity).
