Japan Platform (JPF), an international NGO specializing in emergency humanitarian aid, announced that Keiji Nishizawa and Eri Yamamoto were appointed as Co-Representative Directors at the board meeting held on May 25, 2026. A new executive structure was also finalized.

(1) New Co-Representative Directors (Effective May 25, 2026) Keiji Nishizawa serves as Advisor to Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. and Chair of the Committee on Corporate Behavior and SDGs at Keidanren. Eri Yamamoto serves as Director and Secretary General of the Shanti Volunteer Association.

(2) Outgoing Co-Representative Directors Yoshitaka Akimoto (former Grand Master of the Ceremonies, Imperial Household Agency) and Yasuhiro Kamishima (Director and Secretary General of the Peace Boat Disaster Relief Center) have stepped down.

(3) New Executive Structure The board has finalized a new executive structure, including directors and auditors. Please refer to the official JPF website for details.

Established in 2000, JPF leverages partnerships between NGOs, the business sector, and the government to provide rapid relief for disasters and conflicts worldwide. Under the new leadership, JPF remains committed to expanding its support network and addressing humanitarian crises.
