The Japan Myasthenia Gravis Association (JMGA) will host the 3rd 'Myasthenia Gravis Day' Commemorative Forum in Suita City, Osaka, on May 31, 2026.
Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is a designated intractable disease caused by immune system abnormalities, resulting in muscle weakness and fatigue. In recent years, the treatment landscape has shifted significantly with the arrival of new treatments such as molecular targeted drugs.
At this forum, patients, families, and medical professionals will gather to discuss themes such as 'MG treatment in the era of molecular targeted drugs: working together with patients.'
About 'MG Day' June 2nd is 'MG Day.' Myasthenia Gravis is abbreviated as MG. The association registered this date with the Japan Anniversary Association in 2024 to raise awareness of the disease. Officially, it is called 'Japan Myasthenia Gravis Day.'
