To turn the desire to address social issues into action, Osaka NPO Center is launching 'Kitahama Salon,' a monthly event series starting June 18, 2026. The theme for the first event is 'Solving Social Issues in the Field of Employment and Disability Support.' Five guest speakers from CSOs and social businesses will share their experiences and challenges. Speakers include Shunsuke Shimura (Lean on Me), Mao Narita (WELgee), Saki Nishikawa (mogmog engine), Kyoko Ogasawara (Grandeur), and Ryo Shioyama (HELLOlife). Held at the Osaka Shoko Shinkin Bank Hall from 14:00 to 16:30, the event is free and open to anyone interested in social innovation and networking. It will feature CSO pitches, coordinator Q&A, and free exchange sessions. Osaka NPO Center, established in 1996, supports individuals and organizations striving for social change through various initiatives including corporate support, startup incubation, and the CSO Forum.
