NPO Social Change Agency (Location: Tokyo, Representative Director: Hokuto Yokoyama), which develops the "Social Security Game," will hold a results report meeting for its experiential learning material "Social Security Game" for the 2025 fiscal year on July 26, 2026 (Sun) at Soleil Iriya in Taito-ku, Tokyo.
The meeting will report on practical case studies from schools nationwide and the results of effectiveness measurements and surveys targeting junior high and high school students, while also providing attendees with an opportunity to experience the "Social Security Game."
Background: Social Security is a "right" available to all who meet the requirements.
Social security systems are rights that can be used by all who meet the requirements. However, currently, many people are unable to access the necessary systems due to barriers in information access, such as not knowing about the system's existence, finding the information too complex to understand, or not knowing where to seek consultation.
Our organization has developed the experiential learning material "Social Security Game" and delivered it to schools nationwide to eliminate these information access barriers, enabling children to understand social security as "their own right" and to exercise that right when needed. The 2025 fiscal year saw a significant expansion in its implementation in schools. This report meeting will present the changes observed in junior high and high school students through actual classes, based on survey and effectiveness measurement data, as well as voices from the field.
What is the "Social Security Game"?
It is an experiential learning material that teaches participants about available social security systems and consultation services when facing difficulties. Participants consider systems that can be utilized for life's challenges using character cards, pinch cards, and item cards. The focus is not on memorizing system names, but on thinking about "when and where to consult," and "what options are available when oneself or those around them are in trouble."
Learn about social security systems as something related to oneself and those close to them.
Understand the connection between problems and systems/consultation services through gameplay.
Lower the psychological barrier to consultation and system utilization through dialogue.
Can be utilized in school education, welfare education, staff training, and community learning sessions.
