deleteC Grand Operation Held
NPO deleteC (Representative Director: Shirou Oguni) will hold "deleteC Grand Operation 2026" from September 1 (Tue) to September 30 (Wed), 2026, coinciding with "Cancer Control Month" and "Health Promotion Month." This event will unite citizens, companies, organizations, and medical professionals nationwide to support cancer treatment research through donations and raise cancer awareness.
Now in its seventh year, the deleteC Grand Operation will promote "Casual Social Actions (CSA)" nationwide, allowing anyone to easily participate in supporting cancer treatment research through everyday activities like posting on social media and daily shopping.
In fiscal year 2026, in addition to the existing "Posting" and "Shopping" actions, new initiatives will be launched: "Learning," which includes deleteC CSA sessions for companies and municipalities and cancer education for schools, and "Everyone's CSA!," where companies and organizations can plan actions based on their unique strengths and creative ideas, thereby expanding citizen participation in more diverse ways.
To date, deleteC has donated over 60 million yen to 14 doctors and researchers conducting clinical and basic research on pediatric cancer, cervical cancer, stomach cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, and more. Starting in fiscal year 2026, under the concept of "Initiating Research," a research call for applications will be held, supported by the power of citizens, to help young researchers and studies take their first steps. This initiative received a record-breaking number of over 70 applications.
The beneficiaries of the donations collected during the period will be announced at the awards ceremony "deleteC 2027 -HOPE-" to be held at TOKYO NODE HALL (Toranomon) on February 4, 2027. In fiscal year 2026, support is planned for four cancer treatment research projects. In addition to honoring researchers, the "CSA Award" will also be presented to citizens and companies engaged in casual social actions. *CSA refers to light actions that start from everyday life, a new concept that connects daily activities to social contribution.

The deleteC Grand Operation is an initiative held every September during Cancer Control Month nationwide, supporting cancer treatment research through donations and awareness via casual social actions (CSA) such as "Posting" and "Shopping." In fiscal year 2026, the following four actions will be implemented.
"Posting" Action
This action connects posts and reactions on social media to donations for cancer treatment research.
"Shopping" Action
When you purchase eligible products at supermarkets and drugstores nationwide, a portion of the sales will be donated to cancer treatment research.
"Learning" Action*
This is a new action where "learning" leads to support, including deleteC CSA sessions for companies and municipalities, health management and social contribution training, and cancer education programs for schools.
"Everyone's CSA!" Action
This is a new initiative where companies and organizations plan and implement original CSAs using their unique strengths and characteristics, based on their own creative ideas. Various daily activities such as walking, watching sports, listening to music, traveling, and bathing will be connected to supporting cancer treatment research.
"Learning" Action: "deleteC CSA Session" Program Overview for Companies and Municipalities
The "deleteC CSA Session" provides input on the current situation surrounding cancer, the significance of supporting cancer treatment research, and examples of casual social actions (CSA) both domestically and internationally. Following this, participating companies and organizations will engage in a workshop to consider deleteC actions and their own social contribution activities that leverage their strengths and business characteristics, aiming to socially implement ideas through dialogue among participants.
The program consists of: 1 Case studies of deleteC and CSA initiatives, 2 A workshop to consider actions leveraging one's own strengths, 3 Discussion and planning based on the challenges and themes faced by each company/region, and 4 Presentation and Q&A. It is a practical program that not only helps participants "understand" social issues but also connects them to "actions they (or their companies) can take" through CSA.
It aims to be a catalyst for diverse entities such as companies, municipalities, and educational institutions to create actions that lead to support for cancer treatment research and cancer awareness from their respective positions. The target audience is expected to include sustainability managers, public relations/PR managers, marketing managers, and corporate branding managers at companies and municipalities.

Message from Shirou Oguni, Representative Director of deleteC Grand Operation 2026 "With everyone's power, let's make cancer a curable disease." The "deleteC Grand Operation," which began in 2020, will celebrate its seventh year this year.
Every September, during Cancer Control Month, we have been promoting "Casual Social Actions (CSA)" nationwide, allowing anyone to lightly participate in supporting cancer treatment research through their daily lives. It is a "Festival of CSA" where SNS posts, shopping at supermarkets, listening to music, watching sports, and many other actions lead to support.
Each individual action may be small. But when they spread, overlap, and gather, they become a great force.
To date, we have supported 14 cancer treatment research projects. When we asked researchers, "Does the support from citizens make a difference?"
The powerful answer was, "100% YES!" "deleteC gave me the opportunity to research when I was about to give up." "Participation in Japanese international collaborative trials has moved us one step forward." "We announced a successful clinical trial in a paper." "deleteC gave me the courage to start research and the courage to continue research."
Hearing such voices from researchers fills my heart with excitement. I want to provide more support to back the new steps of research that has been initiated. I want to expand the circle of CSA even further, so that 100 million people across Japan can participate. This is what I truly feel.
Starting this year, we have decided to make participation in the deleteC Grand Operation an "entry system." While many CSAs have been born, from the classic ones like "Shopping" and "Posting" to unique ones like "Learning," "Walking," "Traveling," and "Bathing," I believe there are still many CSAs that are "unexpected!"
Through the deleteC Grand Operation, I hope we can fully express the CSAs you envision and, with everyone's power, draw closer to a future where cancer becomes a curable disease. Shirou Oguni, Representative Director, NPO deleteC
deleteC Slogan
Support for cancer treatment research can be done anytime, anywhere, lightly.
That is Casual Social Action (CSA).
Anyone can do it, regardless of generation or position.
It can be done just by posting, just by buying, in various ways.
Even if each action is small, when they gather, overlap, and spread,
We should be able to draw closer to the future of "making cancer a curable disease."
Your daily life becomes support.
Let's start lightly, from what we can do.
About deleteC
Established in 2019 with the aim of contributing to bringing closer the day when "cancer becomes a curable disease" by creating a system where anyone can support cancer treatment research in their daily lives, through casual social actions that lead to donations and awareness for cancer treatment research. In 2022, it was approved as a certified NPO in Tokyo.
Specifically, participating companies and organizations plan and offer original products and services by removing the letter "C" (the initial letter of Cancer) from their brand logos, product names, or service names, or by using the deleteC logo or concept colors. A portion of the purchase price is donated through deleteC to cancer treatment research promoted by doctors and researchers (※), creating a system where citizens can also participate in supporting cancer treatment research.
Every autumn, under the title "deleteC Grand Operation," initiatives are carried out where CSA such as SNS posting/sharing, shopping, and learning lead to donations for cancer treatment research. In February, "deleteC -HOPE-" is held, and donations are presented to doctors and researchers advancing cancer treatment research.
The cancer treatment research to be funded is selected through a public call for applications. The selection committee is composed of members with diverse perspectives, including doctors with specialized knowledge of cancer clinical trials, participating companies, and the deleteC Medical Research Team, and the beneficiaries are determined through a fair review process. Currently, it is supported by over 200 participating companies and organizations, and has supported a total of over 60 million yen to 14 doctors and researchers, including pediatric oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, gastrointestinal oncologists, lung oncologists, breast oncologists, pancreatic oncologists, clinical oncologists, radiation oncologists, basic researchers, and research nurses.
Progress and results of the funded cancer treatment research and awareness content creation will be reported one and a half years after the award, and further developments will be communicated thereafter. Recipients have provided feedback such as moving to new research stages or reporting research results in academic journals, indicating that the donations have been instrumental in advancing their research. (※) Donations are used for cancer treatment research and deleteC's activities, including the production of awareness content.
