With its main store in Dotonbori for 40 years, Takoya Dotonbori Kukuru, a specialty takoyaki restaurant, presents a refreshing original takoyaki 'yuzu ponzu takoyaki' for July and August. This popular item, which was also sold last year on a limited basis and enjoyed by many customers, has been further improved and is back this year.

The star of the show is Kukuru's special 'yuzu ponzu,' which captures the refreshing aroma of yuzu from Ibaraki Prefecture. We have further improved the taste by pursuing the best combination with Kukuru's signature fluffy and soft batter, rich in broth. Finished with homemade yuzu flakes, it has a refreshing yet deep flavor. The moment you put it in your mouth, the elegant aroma of yuzu spreads softly, harmonizing with the gentle sweetness of grated daikon and the refined sourness of yuzu, leaving a refreshing aftertaste that makes you want to eat another box even in the hot summer.

The yuzu ponzu and yuzu flakes used for topping are made from the juice and peel of yuzu grown in-house at 'Rapopo Namegata Farmers Village' in Ibaraki Prefecture. The yuzu flakes are processed into a fragrant flake form at our own factory in Miyazaki Prefecture, a '6th-generation product' that fully utilizes the appeal of the ingredients.
