Shirataki Sake Brewery Launches 'Jozen Mizuno Gotoshi Father's Day Tasting Set'

Shirataki Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture; President: Shintaro Takahashi) has commenced sales of the 'Jozen Mizuno Gotoshi Father's Day Tasting Set,' allowing customers to compare six varieties of its flagship sake, 'Jozen Mizuno Gotoshi.'

Sake brewing at Shirataki Sake Brewery was started in 1855 by Tosuke Minatoya. Sake was provided to travelers and peddlers in Yuzawa, a key point on the Mikuni Kaido route connecting Echigo and Edo. Echigo-Yuzawa is located in the Uonuma region of Niigata Prefecture, one of the world's heaviest snowfall areas. The deep snow that accumulates during winter melts in spring, seeps into the ground, and becomes clear groundwater over a period of about 50 years. The soft water drawn from three wells on Shirataki Sake Brewery's premises is ideal for brewing and is used for all their sake, defining the brewery's smooth sake profile.

The set is adorned with navy blue wrapping paper styled after a suit and a necktie sticker bearing the message 'Thank you, Father,' to express gratitude. It is suitable not only as a gift but also for home consumption. Each product is carefully boxed and packaged by hand by the staff before being delivered to customers.
