Yababa Town, Iwate Prefecture, is now accepting applications for municipal staff to be appointed on April 1, 2027 (Reiwa 9).

Positions available: General Administrative, Technical (Architecture/Civil Engineering), and Certified Social Workers. The recruitment process includes both early and late schedules, with the first examination conducted at SPI3 test centers nationwide, including online venues. This flexible format allows applicants residing inside and outside Iwate Prefecture, as well as those considering U-turn or I-turn migration, to participate easily.

Yababa Town is not seeking staff who simply follow established procedures. We are looking for individuals who listen to residents, understand community perspectives, identify local challenges, and collaborate with stakeholders to find solutions. To achieve the 8th Comprehensive Town Plan by leveraging local resources, we seek proactive team members who can adapt to change, think independently, and take initiative.

▼ Technical Staff (Architecture/Civil Engineering)

➢ Number of hires: Several

➢ Eligibility: Graduates of high school or higher, or those expected to graduate by March 2027 (Reiwa 9), who have completed specialized courses in architecture or civil engineering, or hold qualifications such as Architect or Civil Engineering Site Manager, born on or after April 2, 1997 (Heisei 9)

➢ Examination schedule: Early and late periods

➢ Number of hires: Several

➢ Eligibility: Individuals who currently hold, or are expected to obtain by March 2027 (Reiwa 9), the Certified Social Worker qualification, born on or after April 2, 2001 (Heisei 3)

➢ Examination schedule: Early period only. *Applicants expected to graduate high school in March 2027 (Reiwa 9) may only apply during the late period.
