Kenyama Sunflower Park, with approximately 200,000 sunflowers blooming against the backdrop of Mt. Nanshō, is a place that symbolizes summer in Yahaba Town. We ask for your support through crowdfunding to continue delivering this scenery to many people and pass it on to the future. The support received will be used for maintaining and enhancing the appeal of this tourist resource, including sunflower cultivation, soil improvement, and environmental development to ensure visitors can enjoy the park safely.

Kenyama Sunflower Park is a representative summer tourist spot in Yahaba Town, located in Kenyama, Shiwa District, Iwate Prefecture. From early to mid-August each year, approximately 200,000 sunflowers spread out with Mt. Nanshō as the backdrop. In spring, a canola flower field can also be enjoyed in the same location, making it a place where residents can feel the town's nature in each season, and it is loved by locals and visited by many from outside the town.

Background of the Crowdfunding Campaign

To deliver the scenery of blooming sunflowers every year, it is necessary to continue soil preparation, cultivation, maintenance of the flower fields and surrounding environment, and the creation of a safe environment for visitors. Flower fields are susceptible to weather conditions, and continuous management and maintenance, not just for a single year, are essential to develop it as a tourist resource.

Yahaba Town, through crowdfunding utilizing the hometown tax donation system, will protect, nurture, and pass on Kenyama Sunflower Park together with everyone who cares about the town.

The illumination event "Hoshiiro no Himawari" (Starlight Sunflowers), held for the first time at Kenyama Sunflower Park in August 2025.

Kenyama Sunflower Park has also hosted events such as a sunflower maze, photo spots, stamp rallies, food trucks, illuminations, and interactions with Chaguchagu Umako, allowing visitors to experience the town's charm while enjoying the flower fields.
