Perseo has announced the 'Settebello Grande Chronograph,' inspired by the ETR300 panoramic train, widely known as the 'Settebello,' which became a symbol of Italy's post-war reconstruction.
This limited edition of 45 pieces worldwide is a hand-wound chronograph from Perseo, a supplier of official railway clocks to the Italian State Railways for nearly a century. It is powered by the historic 'Cal.1872' movement, developed by the prestigious Swiss company Lemania. This cam-controlled chronograph movement, known for its high design quality, was a cornerstone in the industry, sharing design DNA with the legendary NASA 'Moonwatch'.
In terms of design, it inherits the elegant guilloché dial and high visibility from the 'Settebello' series, a long-seller since the 1960s. The watch features a 40mm x 12mm 316L stainless steel case. Priced at 495,000 yen, it comes in a wooden original box, including a spare cowhide leather strap and a certificate of authenticity. The case back is engraved with an illustration of the ETR300 and a serial number.
