The Cancer Center serves as a cross-sectional and centralized department overseeing medical teams, working groups, and specialized staff activities related to cancer care across various departments.
With the new hospital facility, we have expanded infrastructure including robotic surgery rooms, chemotherapy units, and Ribbon House, enabling comprehensive support for cancer treatment. We will continue to promote seamless collaboration among departments, allowing each to fully leverage its expertise.
Cancer treatment spans diagnosis, multidisciplinary therapy, recurrence surveillance, and sometimes post-recurrence treatment, palliative care, and end-of-life care—often extending over many years. We aim to deliver continuous, seamless care so patients can face their illness with confidence.
Additionally, with an aging population, more patients present with comorbidities. Our strength lies in having all necessary supporting departments fully integrated. We are also actively addressing hereditary conditions such as hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome.
