The Doronko-kai Group (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will open three new fully integrated inclusive childcare facilities in spring 2027, combining childcare and developmental support. The group aims to spread an inclusive model where all children grow together, regardless of disabilities. The three locations are: (Tentative) Merry Poppins Kitahiroshima Room x Developmental Support Tsumugi Kitahiroshima Room x Employment Support Tsumugi Kitahiroshima Room (Kitahiroshima, Hokkaido); (Tentative) Merry Poppins Ebina Station Room x Developmental Support Tsumugi Ebina Station Room (Ebina, Kanagawa); and (Tentative) Jinsekikogen Doronko Nursery School x Developmental Support Tsumugi Jinsekikogen Room (Jinsekikogen-cho, Hiroshima). The number of children with disabilities in childcare facilities is increasing annually, reaching 105,880 in fiscal 2023, approximately double the figure from a decade ago. By operating childcare and developmental support under one roof, the Doronko-kai Group realizes inclusive childcare that bridges existing gaps. Each facility collaborates with urban development or regional revitalization projects to provide inclusive child-rearing support for the entire community.
