Support Minoh's Children and Child-Rearing Support Activities Through Crowdfunding! "Minoh Welfare x Oshi-katsu Project" Launches

●What is the Minoh Welfare x Oshi-katsu Project?

A new form of mutual support where anyone can become someone's "oshi" (favorite/supported person/activity).

In recent years, it has become difficult to gather sufficient support through traditional donation methods, and donations are on a declining trend. On the other hand, the needs of volunteer groups tackling regional issues (such as children's cafeterias and creating community spaces) are increasing.

Therefore, the Minoh City Council of Social Welfare has launched a new crowdfunding-based donation system as a new initiative starting in fiscal year 2026. This system allows donors to "choose and support projects of organizations they resonate with." This project is about finding your "oshi" (activity you want to support) and backing that activity through donations. In fiscal year 2026, the theme will be "Children and Child-Rearing Support."

●Two Goals of the Minoh Welfare x Oshi-katsu Project

1. Connect donors and organizations, and connect regional welfare activities to the future (building a community of supporters). This project connects donors who want to "contribute to the region but don't know where to donate" with organizations that "have passion but lack funding." Furthermore, by having each organization disseminate information and spread resonance with their activities, it expands the circle of support, including donors and supporters. It fosters connections not only through donations but also with people who want to "help with activities" or "continue to support," thereby connecting regional welfare activities to the future.

2. Create an environment where many people can support regional activities. By making resonance the core of the system, we expand opportunities for individuals who have not had many chances to engage with regional welfare, as well as companies and businesses interested in social contribution, to participate easily.
