The prefecture is recruiting participants for sport-specific tryouts (selection trials) in FY2026, targeting middle and high school students who want to take on the challenge of new sports, in order to discover talent with excellent abilities. For those who pass the selection process, we aim to systematically improve and nurture the qualities and abilities necessary as a top athlete through an advanced program (sport-specific training). Our goal is to produce top athletes raised in Kanagawa who will excel in international competitions such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as national competitions.
