Today, Tachikawa City has concluded an agreement with Neyagawa City in Osaka Prefecture on June 10 (Wednesday). This agreement aims to solve social issues derived from past disaster lessons, such as 'securing personnel,' 'securing stockpiled goods,' and 'the time required for support from other municipalities to arrive' during large-scale disasters. The agreement establishes three pillars: the 'establishment of a satellite system' where one city supports the other, which is distant from the disaster-stricken city, in tasks such as procurement; 'push-type supply,' which provides pre-determined necessary supplies immediately after a disaster occurs; and 'joint stockpiling,' where a portion of necessary reserve items are jointly stockpiled.
This agreement promises cooperation and mutual aid between the two cities with the objective of ensuring reliable support during large-scale disasters, aiming to achieve the early stabilization of citizens' lives and enhance the sufficiency of stockpiled goods in the event of a large-scale disaster.
