Nerima Ward Opens "Mirai Aozora Gakuen" and a New Community Hub

On the 1st, Nerima Ward will open a new community hub that integrates regional exchange and support facilities such as a children's hall and a comprehensive community support center, alongside "Mirai Aozora Gakuen," the ward's second integrated elementary and junior high school.

This facility was developed as a leading project for the consolidation and complexing of surrounding facilities, in conjunction with the reconstruction of elementary and junior high schools, based on the ward's comprehensive public facility management plan.

By bringing together places for learning, play, consultation, and exchange within the same facility, the aim is to create a community hub that connects diverse generations, from children to the elderly.

◆Mirai Aozora Gakuen

Asahigaoka Elementary School and Asahigaoka Junior High School will open as "Mirai Aozora Gakuen," the ward's second integrated elementary and junior high school.

Educational activities will leverage its unique characteristics, such as students from 1st to 9th grade living in the same school building, the co-location of special needs classes for both elementary and junior high divisions, and its proximity to multiple universities.

◆Mirai Aozora Children's Hall

The Sakaecho Children's Hall (Sakaecho 40-7) has been relocated and reopened under a new name.

It features bright and spacious playrooms, a music room where junior and senior high school students can engage in band activities, a mini-kitchen, and a kids' room equipped with nursing and diaper changing spaces.

Opening date: April 1st (Wednesday)

Opening hours: Monday to Friday... 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Saturday, school holiday periods (summer, winter, spring breaks), Tokyo Citizens' Day... 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

※For junior and senior high school students only, until 7:00 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Closed: Sundays, public holidays, New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3)

Facilities: Playroom, library, light garden, kids' room, music room, creative room

Target users: All children from 0 to 18 years old can play freely.

◆Mirai Aozora Comprehensive Community Support Center

The Dai-2 Ikushuen Comprehensive Community Support Center (Hazawa 2-8-16) has been relocated to the Mirai Aozora Gakuen Complex Facility and reopened under a new name.
