Fairmont Tokyo (1-1-1 Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo; General Manager: Karan Singh), the first Fairmont property in Japan, will mark its first anniversary on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Since its opening, Fairmont Tokyo has welcomed guests from around the world as a vibrant hub for connection. To commemorate this milestone, the hotel will host a special experience themed 'TSUNAGU' (Connection)—a principle it has cherished since opening—to express gratitude and celebrate the start of a new chapter.

For over a century, Fairmont has served as a community center worldwide. The hotel defines true luxury not by beauty alone, but by creating rich, memorable experiences through connection. Over the past year in the Shibaura district, where urban energy meets the tranquility of Tokyo Bay, Fairmont Tokyo has built countless memories. The theme 'TSUNAGU' embodies the desire to connect people, regions, and cultures through meaningful experiences.

A Special Program Connecting Memories of Shibaura Through Art

Fairmont Tokyo displays art throughout the hotel based on the concept of 'Inevitable Overlaps Inherited in This Land.' To celebrate the anniversary, it will launch an interactive program connecting Shibaura’s memories through art, featuring modern ikebana artist Saiho Ozono.

Saiho Ozono, a first-grade instructor of the Sogetsu School, will use scrap materials sourced from the local Shibaura redevelopment site to breathe new life into the land's history. Production begins on June 30 in the 35th-floor lobby. Following a live performance on July 1, guests and attendees will complete the installation by adding flowers.

This symbolic installation (expected to be over 4 meters tall) will be exhibited for four days until July 4 in the 35th-floor lobby, open to both hotel guests and the local community.

Inspired by this art, Executive Pastry Chef David Guimaraes and Bar Director Hideyuki Saito will launch commemorative sweets and mocktails at the 35th-floor lobby lounge, 'Vue Mer,' starting July 1, incorporating a sustainable perspective.
