Nishio Municipal Hospital Offers Free Prostate Cancer Screening for Men Over 50

Nishio Municipal Hospital (Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture) will offer free prostate cancer screenings (PSA tests) for male residents of Nishio City aged 50 and older, starting June 1, 2026. Although prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men, increasing screening rates remains a challenge. The hospital aims to promote early detection and intervention by leveraging its urology department. Patients who receive screening results and visit the hospital for follow-up will benefit from preferential treatment, including priority appointment slots and a waiver of the initial consultation fee.
