<'Just Surviving' Isn't Enough.> Crowdfunding Achieves Final Goal After Four Next Goals. Activities to Create a 'Future' with Children in Bodh Gaya, India, Are Finally Set to Begin in Earnest.

The project, which started with a goal of 3 million yen, achieved its final goal with 32,567,000 yen in support from 460 individuals.

Certified Non-Profit Organization REALE WORLD (Headquarters: Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture / Representative Director: Aya Miyoshi) achieved 1,085% of its initial target amount in the project <'Just Surviving' Isn't Enough.> conducted in June on the crowdfunding site "Campfire." Support totaling 32,567,000 yen was received from 460 individuals.

Background of Implementation

15 years ago, Representative Director Aya Miyoshi casually asked a young mother she met in India, "What is your dream?" The answer she received was, "I've never thought about it."

It wasn't that they had given up on their dreams; they simply didn't know they could have dreams or that it was okay to have them. Is simply having "life" enough to be saved? Is living without "hope" truly "living"?

From that day on, with the thought of "doing what I can, from where I can, starting with action," I continued to work in various parts of the world, including Nepal, based in Japan. After 15 years, the time has come to execute activities to "create a future" with children in Bodh Gaya, India, as an organization.

If each person could live a life where they "utilize" themselves. If they could start acting with all their might, holding onto their dreams and beliefs. People would no longer be "alone" but would become "everyone," and the power of that "everyone" would lead to an unexpected landscape, to an unseen future. Many people resonated with this idea, became "everyone," and we received much support.

Project Overview

The project <'Just Surviving' Isn't Enough.> achieved its final goal of 30 million yen after four next goals. The specific activities planned are all in Bodh Gaya, India, and its surrounding areas: ❶ Holding charity events for children (to be held in November 2026) ❷ Installing water pumps ❸ Creating local business models to support education ❹ Establishing "TERAKOYA" for girls. These four pillars will form the basis of our activities.

The crowdfunding ended on June 30th. Currently, we are holding meetings with individuals who will support the activities on the ground, mainly with companies that will collaborate on the educational system and operational aspects for the establishment of "TERAKOYA for girls." In late July, we plan to visit the site for inspection and will begin concrete progress on the four pillars of activity based on these discussions, including the selection of activity bases.

Although the crowdfunding through "Campfire" has ended, we believe that fundraising for operations is still essential to aim for the enrichment and stability of the four activities. We are seeking donations for our organization's various activities through our website.
