Since 2016, the city has collaborated with companies and universities to establish the 'Toyota City Connected Society Pilot Promotion Council,' working to solve these regional issues through advanced technology demonstrations.

In this effort, the city has partnered with Toyota Motor Corporation to launch the nation's first pilot project aimed at further improving the speed and effectiveness of firefighting, emergency response, and rescue operations. This initiative utilizes dashcam footage from private vehicles traveling near disaster sites, such as fires or traffic accidents, to help the fire department grasp on-site conditions.

This initiative utilizes the company's service, 'DRIVE RECORDER119,' which visualizes disaster scenes and surrounding conditions.

● Pilot Details When the Toyota City Fire Department determines that video footage is necessary following a 119 call, they will confirm dashcam footage from vehicles traveling near the site to assist in swift and appropriate fire, emergency, and rescue activities.
