Ginza NAGANO, an information dissemination hub promoting the charms of Nagano Prefecture, will host its first "Alcohol Ink Art Experience Event" themed around the starry sky of Chŋsei Village, Nagano Prefecture, on August 1, 2026 (Sat).

The event will feature instructors from "SAKE ART" (operated by ARTLIER Inc.), which develops experiential art events that fuse "sake and art" based in Nagano City, as lecturers. Participants will express the fantastical night sky of Chŋsei Village, known as "the place where stars appear brightest" in the Ministry of the Environment's nationwide star observation, using alcohol ink art.

This special workshop allows you to enjoy the world of colors created by chance while savoring Nagano Prefecture wines and appetizers. It's a new cultural experience for adults that will transport your heart to the starry skies of Shinshu while you're in Ginza.

Paint your own "starry sky" with a glass of wine in hand.

"Paint & Sip," which has gained popularity mainly in Europe and the United States in recent years.

It is enjoyed by many as an art experience where you can freely draw while enjoying alcoholic beverages.

This workshop, held at Ginza NAGANO, is a special project that combines that enjoyment with the unique charms of Shinshu.

While savoring Nagano Prefecture wines and appetizers, you will challenge yourself to create a work themed around the starry sky of Chŋsei Village.

Take a 90-minute break from work, chores, and smartphones to face the colors.

You can enjoy a moment of self-reflection in the comfortable time created by sake and art.

A one-of-a-kind starry sky created by chance

Alcohol ink art is an abstract art that enjoys the randomness created by alcohol and ink.

As the ink spreads and mixes, it creates unexpected colors and patterns, so no two works are ever the same.

Its beauty is like the nebulae and galaxies floating in the universe.

It has a mysterious affinity with the starry sky of Chŋsei Village, the theme of this event.

A deep indigo night sky.

A gradation of light spreading like a nebula. A cosmic space where countless stars twinkle.

The "accidental beauty" that can only be expressed with alcohol ink art creates a unique starry sky for each individual.

The completed work is truly one of a kind.

Reflecting on Japan's best starry sky. An experience to feel Shinshu's nature through art

Chŋsei Village, Nagano Prefecture, the venue for the event, is a popular tourist destination known nationwide as the "village with Japan's best starry sky."

Surrounded by high mountains, the starry sky that spreads across the clear air continues to fascinate visitors.

In this workshop, you will freely express the night sky you imagine in your heart, themed around the starry sky of Chŋsei Village.

It is held as an experiential event where you can experience the charms of Shinshu's nature, culture, and tourism while in Ginza, Tokyo.

We propose a new form of regional experience where people learn about Nagano Prefecture through art, become interested, and want to visit the area someday.
