On June 9, 2026, ABEMA aired episode #6 of 'Naokiman's Urban Legend Wide Show SEASON 3,' a program hosted by the popular urban legend YouTuber Naokiman.
'Naokiman's Urban Legend Wide Show' is an entertainment show where Naokiman, whose YouTube channel has over 3.9 million subscribers, invites celebrity guests who enjoy urban legends to discuss news topics and explore unverified rumors and mysteries with "love and romance."
In the June 9th episode, titled "Conspiracy or Occult? Unsolved Mysteries Special," the show examined globally famous unsolved cases, disappearances, and mass panic phenomena from an urban legend perspective. Guests including actress Nanase Nishino (formerly of Nogizaka46) and Hiroshi Soezoe (from Aiseki Start) shared strange experiences from their own lives.
Nanase Nishino Confesses Strange Experience at Home: "I Thought It Was My Father-in-Law"
Nanase Nishino made her first appearance on the program. Nishino, an avid fan of urban legends, revealed, "My husband and I watch Naokiman's channel together, and we even watch the exclusive footage of this show on ABEMA Premium." Naokiman responded with a smile, while Saya (from Laland) excitedly exclaimed, "I'm a huge fan!"
Nishino shared a strange event she recently experienced. While napping, she heard footsteps and thought her husband, Yuki Yamada, had returned home. However, she was too tired to open her eyes, but felt, "This probably isn't my husband; it might not be a living person." Then, she heard a sound like "two apples being placed on top of her head."
Since the footsteps led to where a photograph of her late father-in-law was kept, Nishino reflected, "I felt like it might have been him." She added, "It was a strange, yet heartwarming experience." Saya jokingly quipped, "It was a souvenir, wasn't it?" bringing laughter to the studio.
Nanase Nishino Shares Video of "Moving Curtains Without Wind"
Nishino also revealed a strange video shot at her home that she wanted the show's dark commentators to analyze. The footage showed a gap in the double curtains moving unnaturally despite there being "zero wind," with no open windows or running ventilation. Nishino said, "There was no sound, it was just opening and closing." Saya reacted, "That's true! It's a really strange movement." Nishino reflected, "It didn't feel scary, but I didn't have the courage to open them." She surprised everyone by adding, "Something similar happened back in the Nogizaka46 dormitory."
Amidst a discussion on the possibilities of fan psychokinesis or living spirits, Takeharu Mikami, editor-in-chief of Monthly Mu, theorized, "People who often see these things tend to have lower body temperatures," leading to further debate on the relationship between body temperature and paranormal phenomena.
Nanase Nishino: Daily Sleep Paralysis in Nogizaka46 Dormitory, "I Could Cancel It Midway"
In the latter part of the show, while discussing the link between mass panic events involving high school girls and psychic phenomena, Nishino confessed her experiences in the Nogizaka46 dormitory.
Nishino described the dormitory as a place "where a lot of things happened." She recalled, "I was experiencing sleep paralysis every day." However, as it became part of her routine, a change occurred: "I eventually learned how to cancel it midway. I would decide whether to accept it or cancel it because I wanted to sleep." Naokiman was stunned, asking, "Cancel sleep paralysis?" and the studio erupted in laughter.
Furthermore, Nishino shared a series of inexplicable events at the dorm, including "a child being locked in the bathroom" and "hearing the sound of a child running." Since the sleep paralysis stopped as soon as she left the dorm, she reflected on those days, saying, "Looking back now, it was really strange," surprising the studio once again.
Other segments included investigations into global mysteries such as the "Dyatlov Pass incident" and the "Elisa Lam case." 'Naokiman's Urban Legend Wide Show SEASON 3' #6 is currently available for free on ABEMA.
