Summary

In April 2026, contracted rents reached record highs in 7 out of 11 surveyed areas.

Rental prices continue to rise nationwide.

Tokyo recorded a record-high contracted rent of ¥94,000.

This level is exceptionally high even within the Greater Tokyo Area.

Rent increases are spreading to regional areas, with rent indices reaching 113.4 in Fukuoka and 113.3 in Hokkaido—significantly surpassing the base year level.
