and per se, a golf apparel brand developed by and per se Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuhide Furuushio), a group company of Goldwin Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takao Watanabe), has launched a pilot initiative to collect apparel worn by its contract professional golfers in tournaments and upcycle it into new products with students from Nagoya Mode Gakuen.

and per se currently supports the competitive activities of seven professional golfers, providing them with a large amount of apparel throughout the season so they can always wear the latest gear in tournaments. However, because this apparel features sponsor logos, it is difficult to resell or transfer to third parties, making the utilization of used apparel a challenge.

With the aim of contributing to a circular economy, and per se has been collecting apparel that is no longer needed after use and recycling it as raw material for new products for approximately three years, with the cooperation of the athletes.

In this new project, students from the Fashion Design Department and Advanced Pattern Making Department at Nagoya Mode Gakuen will arrange and sew approximately 300 pieces of apparel collected from athletes to transform them into new products. Through practical learning, students aspiring to work in the fashion industry will consider the environmental issues facing the industry and the realization of a circular society.

Production Theme: "Items That Can Be Loved for a Long Time, Again"

This project is being carried out as part of the school's "Industry-Academia Direct Case Study" class, where students collaborate with companies on practical projects. Approximately 70 students are divided into teams and will bring to life their unique, free, and innovative ideas for convenient everyday items, stylish golf wear, and family-friendly products.

Selected outstanding works will be chosen and awarded based on a popularity poll conducted on the website and judging by contract players. Depending on the item and purpose, they will be presented to players or given as gifts to applicants. The top team will be invited to our company's research and development base, Toyama Main Store (Oyabe City, Toyama Prefecture), to learn about the manufacturing and R&D process. Our company, which has been manufacturing and selling sports and outdoor apparel for many years, upholds the vision of "providing inspiration and opportunities to foster children's potential and shape a beautiful future." Through collaboration with educational institutions and other initiatives, we have consistently considered the relationship between children, young people, the global environment, and clothing.

Furthermore, to pass on golf, which relies on the blessings of nature, to the next generation, and per se promotes "PAR PLAY," which means leaving no debt to the earth. This involves developing products using environmentally friendly materials and reducing the amount of materials used. This project, as a practice of "PAR PLAY," expands the possibilities for realizing a sustainable society together with the young generation who will lead the future.
