Mercari Launches Bundled Sales of Smartphones and Mobile Network Lines on 'Mercari Mobile'

Mercari, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Mercari) is pleased to announce that starting May 21, 2026, its mobile service 'Mercari Mobile' has begun offering a bundled sale of new and unused smartphone devices and mobile network lines. Additionally, to commemorate the launch of this bundled sale, a 'Smartphone Sales Launch Commemoration Mega Sale' will be held from May 21 to June 30, 2026, offering devices at highly discounted transfer prices (*1). Furthermore, customers purchasing the set will receive one 50% sales fee reduction coupon (up to 5,000 points) usable on 'Mercari,' making it more profitable to sell their old devices.

In recent years, the price of smartphone devices has been on an upward trend (*2), increasing the financial burden on households. Under these circumstances, there is a growing customer need to alleviate household expenses by utilizing affordable reused products, without necessarily insisting on brand-new items (*3). Similarly, there is a growing demand for cheaper, waste-free, and personalized plan selections regarding not only the devices themselves but also telecommunications costs and data limits.

'Mercari Mobile' launched its services in March 2025 under the concept of 'flexible and affordable smartphone usage.' The service has been well-received by many customers for features such as a base rate starting at 4GB for 990 yen/month, easy application and management via the Mercari app, and the ability to buy and sell data capacity (gigas) without waste.

Previously, 'Mercari Mobile' only offered mobile lines (contract plans), but we are now launching a bundled sale with devices. As a result, in addition to individual listings on 'Mercari' and business listings on 'Mercari Shops,' customers can now choose guaranteed new and unused device-and-line sets sold directly by 'Mercari.' This broadens the choices for smartphone usage across 'Mercari' and 'Mercari Mobile.'

Moreover, purchasing a bundle grants the buyer one 50% sales fee reduction coupon (up to 5,000 points) (*4). By affordably listing and selling unused devices on 'Mercari,' customers can purchase their next smartphone more economically.

Eligible Devices for Bundled Sale

The bundled sale will feature approximately 29 models of iPhone and Android devices, starting at a minimum price of 110 yen (*5). Furthermore, all provided devices are brand new and unused, and come with a warranty of up to one year.
