IP Infusion, a global leader in open networking solutions (HQ: California, USA; CEO: Tom Savoie), announced today that MainStreaming, a provider specializing in Edge Video Delivery Networks (EVDN) for large-scale live streaming, has adopted IP Infusion's network software, OcNOS®, as a core component of its international infrastructure. This deployment demonstrates MainStreaming's commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance live streaming to broadcasters, OTT providers, sports rights holders, and media companies across Europe.

By integrating IP Infusion's OcNOS software into the backbone of its edge network, MainStreaming has achieved a fully disaggregated network architecture based on white box hardware. This approach allows MainStreaming to maintain consistent operations across diverse hardware platforms using a unified network operating system (OS) provided by OcNOS. This is a critical advantage for EVDN, which requires stable delivery of millions of concurrent streams with minimal latency under conditions where downtime is absolutely intolerable.

Philippe Tripodi, CTO of MainStreaming, stated, "For large-scale live streaming, a network foundation that combines fault tolerance and operational agility is essential. By adopting IP Infusion's OcNOS, we gain the consistency of a common network OS across our entire infrastructure and the flexibility of hardware selection. This allows us to reduce complexity and total cost of ownership while ensuring the carrier-grade performance demanded by our broadcast and media industry clients. Possessing a proven open networking platform is a vital strategic asset as we continue to expand our international operations."

Tom Savoie, CEO of IP Infusion, remarked, "MainStreaming is a visionary operator that fully understands and actively adopts the benefits of open networking. The live streaming market is one of the most demanding environments regarding network performance, and I am proud that OcNOS forms the core of MainStreaming's international network. This partnership further demonstrates that disaggregated networks are the future of carrier-grade infrastructure."
