ADTANK Inc., a company that supports corporate growth and transformation by integrating advertising resources with execution expertise in management, marketing, sales, and DX, conducted a large-scale survey on the 'reliability of answers provided by AI searches such as ChatGPT' (approx. 20,000 valid responses). The results showed that the 'trusting group,' combining those who 'trust it quite a bit' and 'trust it somewhat,' reached 75%, revealing that AI answers are widely accepted as a primary information source. On the other hand, only 8% answered that they 'take it as is,' showing that many users adopt a hybrid information behavior of 'trusting while verifying themselves.' Regarding the background, AI search using generative AI like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude is rapidly spreading as a new information-gathering tool replacing traditional search engines. With Google also displaying AI summaries at the top of search results, it is becoming routine for consumers to encounter AI-provided answers before clicking to compare. The survey summary indicates that 75% trust AI answers, only 8% accept them blindly, and only 4% have complete distrust. CAIO Gosuke Sasaki stated, 'What you make AI answer will become the next branding metric,' emphasizing that AIO measures to ensure correct citation by AI will become an essential field following SEO.
