2025 AEON Scholarship Student Certification Ceremony

Since 2006, we have provided scholarships to approximately 10,000 students in total, both domestically and internationally, with the hope that they will become bridges between Japan and their home countries in the future. In Japan, we offer opportunities such as exchange meetings for scholarship students, overnight training seminars, and volunteer activities for international students from Asia and Japanese university students. Abroad, scholarships are provided to university students in Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Japanese international students. We also hold scholarship student certification ceremonies in each country annually, providing opportunities for interaction among scholarship students beyond their universities and events like Japanese speech contests.

This year, we will award certificates to 45 scholarship students studying at 14 newly recognized Japanese universities*. We will also feature speeches on the theme of "My Dream" by scholarship students from Keio University and Nagoya University, followed by a reception with guests from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, various foreign embassies in Japan, and each university, providing a valuable time for students to reflect on their future.

The AEON 1% Club was established in 1990 with the aim of putting the AEON Group's basic philosophy of "Customer First, Pursuing Peace, Respecting Humanity, and Contributing to Local Communities" into concrete action and fulfilling its social responsibilities. For over 35 years, based on 1% of the profits generated from customer usage of AEON Group services, we have been engaged in environmental and social contribution activities with the main business areas of "sound development of youth," "friendship with foreign countries," "contribution to the development of local communities," and "support for disaster recovery."
