The Aeon Environmental Foundation (Chairman: Motoya Okada, Director and Representative Executive Officer Chairman of Aeon Co., Ltd.; hereinafter, "the Foundation") has concluded a regional partnership agreement with Tako Town (Katori District, Chiba Prefecture), Aeon Co., Ltd., and the Aeon One Percent Club Public Interest Foundation. Through this agreement, the four parties will work on environmental conservation, environmental education, and regional revitalization in Tako Town with the aim of building a new satoyama model.

Since its establishment in 1990, for over 35 years, the Foundation has continuously carried out tree planting, satoyama creation, coastal disaster prevention forest regeneration, and environmental education in various regions both domestically and internationally, including Chiba Prefecture, together with local volunteers. Moving forward, together with the people of Tako Town, the Foundation will leverage its accumulated knowledge to create new value for satoyama through its conservation and utilization.

To pass on our one irreplaceable Earth to the next generation, the Foundation will continue to actively engage in environmental activities, including satoyama creation.
