Akachan Honpo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka) launched the 'Parenting Support Discovery Web' on Monday, May 25, 2026, an information platform designed to co-create a society that is easier to raise children in by connecting the 'real voices' of those currently pregnant or raising children with the initiatives of local governments and companies.

This platform leverages Akachan Honpo's member network, which covers approximately 55% of annual births in Japan, to provide an information infrastructure for local governments.

Background and Purpose While various support systems have been developed to address the declining birthrate, issues remain, such as these systems not reaching parenting families or being disconnected from actual needs. Real-life situations often fail to be reflected in policy-making, leading to mismatches. To address this, the platform was built.

The 'Parenting Support Discovery Web' visualizes the real-life conditions and needs of parenting families, functioning as a space where local governments, companies, and research institutions can collaborate to plan and verify policies and services.

Key Content of the Project 1. Understanding the Needs of Parenting Families: Publishing research articles such as parenting satisfaction rankings, post-childbirth care awareness, and intentions regarding relocation/resettlement. 2. Learning from Best Practices in Childcare Policy: Providing interviews with leaders of highly-rated municipalities and site inspection reports on facilities. 3. Understanding Public-Private Partnerships: Highlighting collaborative examples between municipalities and private companies to promote new possibilities.

Through visualizing these needs based on actual conditions, Akachan Honpo aims to promote more effective policy design and information dissemination, contributing to the improvement of childcare support quality in local communities.
