At the event, we will sell the summer-limited 'Akafuku Mizuyokan,' as well as Isuzuchaya's 'Azuki Butter Sandwich,' 'Toki (Season) Youkan: Watermelon,' and 'Mochi Dorayaki.'

Azuki Butter Sandwich

Refreshing summer sweets and Western-style confections highlighting the flavor of azuki beans

The 'Akafuku Mizuyokan' uses smooth azuki bean paste made from Hokkaido-grown beans, crafted into a refreshing, lightly sweet treat with a moist texture. Poured into a folding box as a single sheet ('hitomaki'), it can be cut at home to your preferred size. Enjoy its smooth, cool texture and pleasantly chilled flavor during hot summer days.

The 'Azuki Butter Sandwich' features a butter cream made from Hokkaido-grown azuki beans and domestic butter, sandwiched between shortbread cookies made with 'Ayahikari' wheat from Mie Prefecture. The cream combines azuki beans soaked in rum overnight with smooth bean paste, with meringue added to create a light, fluffy texture. The rich aroma of rum and the smoothness of butter complement the deep flavor of azuki beans.

Isuzuchaya's Summer Youkan and Mochi Dorayaki

'Toki no Youkan: Watermelon' is a refreshing treat that visually represents a watermelon in three layers of yōkan. It captures the flavor of watermelon with a clean, light sweetness. Its colorful, summery packaging is also a distinctive feature.

Additionally, 'Mochi Dorayaki' is a specialty dorayaki from Isuzuchaya, made with a fluffy grilled pancake filled with smooth Hokkaido-grown azuki bean paste and soft mochi.
