Akon Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture) has started handling two new models of high-capacity AC adapters supporting up to 600W as part of strengthening its lineup of power solutions for industrial and electronic equipment.

These products adopt a high-efficiency design of over 91% and comply with the US DOE Level VI energy efficiency standards. They support a wide input voltage range of AC100V to 240V and are equipped with overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, and overheat protection, achieving high safety and stability.

Background

In recent years, demand for high-capacity power supplies has been increasing due to the higher performance of FA equipment, industrial PCs, communication equipment, LED equipment, and other devices.

On the other hand, options for AC adapters exceeding 500W are limited, and issues such as procurement lead times and specification changes can be challenges.

To meet these needs, Akon Co., Ltd. has started handling two models of high-capacity AC adapters supporting up to 600W output.
