Actio Co-hosts "Chikuma City Public-Private Partnership Disaster Prevention Drill FY2026"

Actio Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and COO: Naoto Onuma; hereinafter referred to as Actio), a comprehensive construction machinery rental company, co-hosted the "FY2026 Chikuma City Public-Private Partnership Disaster Prevention Drill" organized by Chikuma City on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Actio's Nagano Chikuma Technopark General Factory. This drill simulated a major earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 and seismic intensity of 6-upper, and included material transport training and rescue training utilizing a disaster prevention helicopter from the Nagano Prefecture Fire and Disaster Management Air Corps, conducted in coordination between air and ground operations at the factory's helipad.

In recent years, large-scale earthquakes and heavy rainfall disasters have occurred frequently across Japan, making the establishment of rapid and smooth cooperative systems with local governments and relevant organizations increasingly important during disasters. Actio signed an "Agreement on Emergency Response Operations and Facility Provision during Disasters" with Chikuma City in March 2026, strengthening cooperation with related organizations. Through this collaboration with Chikuma City, Actio aims to promote the development of a highly effective disaster prevention system.

During the material transport training on the day, essential supplies for evacuation centers, including evacuation center partitions, cardboard beds, and folding simple beds, were loaded onto the disaster prevention helicopter and delivered. Training was also conducted for the delivery of medical supplies using a hoist (*1). Furthermore, a rescue training scenario was carried out, simulating individuals stranded during a large-scale disaster, to confirm the coordination procedures and response sequences among related organizations.
